Guidance – Search and Prescribe
Introduction
The Design Guidance Exploration – Search and Prescribe document provides you with a framework for finding
and prescribing a medication, in the context of a single patient record. It enhances patient safety and clinical application usability by:
- Integrating generic and branded products into the search and prescribe process
- Reducing the length of the prescribing process for simple and commonly prescribed medications,
whilst also supporting the definition of more complex prescriptions
The guidance presented in this document is for community preview and consultation only. Further design and patient safety
assessments are required to finalize the content as CUI Design Guidance.
